my girlfriend loves it

Girlfriend and I went in 50/50 on our HHR. She replaced her 1998 Chevy Cavalier base model with this 2007 heavily-optioned HHR, and she loves it. It's used for everything her Z4 can't do.

The Illinois window tinting laws:
Windshield Non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 6 inches of the windshield.
Front Side Windows Must allow more than 35% of light in.
Back Side Windows Must allow more than 35% of light in.
Rear Window Must allow more than 35% of light in.

More Legal Combinations 1. 30-35% in the rear/up to 50% front

2. If you have below 30% tint in the rear, you cannot have front tint.

3. If you have an MPV, which include but are not limited to, SUVs, Station Wagons, minivans, Toasters, etc., and said MPV has factory installed privacy glass (smoked), you are allowed to have up to 50% tint in front.

This is the actual law in Illinois.
If you don't believe me you can google it for yourself.

I never knew that Scion owners called themselves toasters before reading this thread. That makes the Kia commercial funnier.

Yeah it's toaster alright. My buddy (guess what nationality) Vito who lives in Howard Beach (NY) has a nice (yeah I said nice) one, newer and rounded, and on the back window he has a decal stating "toaster mafia". To each his own.

Sometime it looks like mine reminds me of a black thermos...

" you drive a toaster"
She's testing you... she actually loves it...

or... she may have a point! When my mom saw the car for the first time she remarked "that's what they haul around dead bodies in"...

haha... I love comments like that... it's a unique design.... revel in it!

Yeah, my Imperial Blue 07 panel was called Hearse for circus midgets. Now that I have a 2010 Victory red panel, my boss said I should attach ladders on the side and go fight fires.
