Shift Cables

Are the manual transmission shift cables the same for the HHR and the HHR SS? I was told they are, but from my research they appear to have two different part numbers. One for the F23 transmission and the other for the F35 transmission. Can anyone shed some light on this?

One of those is available on both the other is an SS option. So, the answer is yes & no. Get the one for your transmission.

Well I'm putting the F35 (mu3) in my 06' hhr lt so obviously I need the cables for that transmission. IE the same ones for a manual transmission hhr ss. I was told my cables are the same as the ss which is not true.

Not sure on this but it may depend on which shifter you use also. The HHR SS uses a different shifter than the N/A HHR's use with their F23's.
The SS shifter is a "short throw" unit.

Maybe check some of the other sites like CobaltSS.com. I'm sure someone has done this before and maybe you can find a thread about it.

The shifters don't matter i don't think, as the the ends of the cables that hook up to the shifter are the same from the NA and the SS.
