shifting and revving

Hey everyone,

Ive had my 2009 HHR for 3 months and love driving it everyday. But, I have a few questions. Every now and then while sitting idle like at a stop light the engine will revv 100-300 rpms by its self. Was wondering if anyone has any idea what this is? Also, seems like shifting later and harsher every now and then also. Other people hate me because when i accelerate i rarely go over 3000 rpm and we all know these arent fast movers off the line.

thanks in advance
Dave

Might need to clean the throttle body. Don't manually move the butterfly plate, the plastic gears are fragile.

I don’t see that in the OP post.

are you experiencing A/C problems? What year, how many miles? When does your AC kick in and out?
