Should I advertise this site?
I've done the flyer and business card deal to no avail. I have vinyl decals on my rear window for the forums I belong to. I figure if someone is riding behind me on the road or sees my car in a parking lot, if they are interested in joining they will do so.
If you want to do something, I would suggest a business card, placed on the drivers door on the window, just above the door handle. It is much less intrusive than the flyer seems to be.

My 2 cents worth...
I usally place a small bus card with our local HHR car club logo on it
in the drivers side window seal.
We have gained nine car club members that way.
And our club has decals with the club website on it.
We have gotten a couple of new members that way.
I also post a small "Public Service announcement" or "PSA"
in out local newspapers about each meeting, I use their
publishing schedule and follow up with the local editors.
In fact they have a website that invites public input, so
we published one of our local HHR events on their site.
To see it go here:

Just look for the "PHOTO" tile a little bit down the page...

I think the business card approach is the better of the 2. I know I hate coming out of a store and seeing any sort of anything under my wiper...my first thought is someone whacked my car. Business card would tend to be something someone might hang onto rather than crumpling up a piece of paper and tossing it.
