side impact testing

I'd never seen this video before, I hope it not a repost.
The guy up front hardly even moves, the guy in bacl looks to knock his head on the wall behind the window.

That was cool nice find. she held up pretty good.what are they testing when they flip it upside down though??

Gives me a shudder. I was hit in an '02 PT Loser by a guy doin' 70 mph in a police chase just like that in 2006. Still kickin', but the Loser isn't. That's why my next 2 cars were '06 HHR 2LT and '08 HHR SS.
BTW-I'm still not very good.

I think the turn upside down part was to show what the damage was underneath without having to get down on a creeper and having it hang over you.

I like the shake it down for milk money idea though. Or maybe someone lost their cell phone in one of the bottomless pits next to the front seats and that was their way of getting it back.
