Sled dilemma

I have kept Red void of door dings and such since new, but a situation has developed. The last several years I've been Santa on the east coast and will lose my daily escort. At nearly 50 days cost; cabs to and fro too expensive; rental cars out of sight. I could buy one/sell for a couple months, but do I really need another car? Or should I just resign Red to "it was great while it lasted," and sit my lowered panel with specialized (will be WAY out of state) license plates in a mall parking lot for the season? What should I do?

Works on east coast, lost ride to work on east coast , 50 plus days, should he get another car or risk getting his HHR Panel door dinged, if he drives it to his Santa gig on the east coast!
I vote keep the HHR pristine and get a second car,?write it off for work transportation.

X2 what OldBlue said. If you can afford it, a small reliable car that can be sold for the same price you bought wood be the way to go.

I'm with you on this one solman. Without OB's translation, I wouldn't have a clue what that was.

Thanks OB!!

Since a house fire at the end of 2012 my HHR has been used as a trucklet. It has it's share of dings, chips, and scrapes inside and out. The EuroMax wheels are toast and I've switched back to the factory wheels. I haven't even had the time for a proper wash and wax for four years...

It's still the best looking car in the parking lot, I just can't show it anymore.

Solman, OB got it. Lost one of my driver deals, so problem was created. I usually fly-in. It's 1500 miles one way and after all, it is the beginning of winter. Roads can get dicey and I have to be there. Taking Red was the least expensive deal, but I found a winner! 2007 Taurus with 39k original miles. Now I just have to deal with the little old lady that has it... lol. For the right price, it will still be under mileage for its age to get my money back. Winner. Winner.
