I'd push to have all plastic parts replaced. They tend to hold smells. Look at Tupperware or the cheap imitations. I would think this occurred at the factory. It must be loaded with mice. How many more will we find in our HHRs? They're all made at the same plant!

Just a lil upate for y'all that care.

I called two places and more or less stated the problem and that I wanted to have the system replaced or at least the tank replaced and the lines cleaned out and such. Heres a cliff note summary:

One dealership flat out refused me warranty service. Said I cant prove the mouse came from them and mouse parts clogging the system doesnt fall into warranty coverage. They will replace the system at my cost for parts and labor.

A second dealership in my area has no problem, wants me to come see the service manager and is going to take care of it for me. If it takes more then a day or when Im working, they will provide me a demo car. They didnt care if it was a mouse, deer, elephant, or dirt.

Thank god there are still some nice folk out there.

As soon as I heard this, I knew it wouldn't be a warranty type service. But as far a customer service goes, I would think a dealership would offer as much help as they could. Its not like people walk in every day and complain about mice in their washer fluid tank. Good for them . You should give them a shoutout once their done.

I hear that rodents are tasty when grilled on a stick. IMO, someone put it in there. They have no thumbs, so opening the cover would be nearly impossible, and there is no pull handle on the inside of the cover, so your mouse friend never would have been able to close the cover tightly.

That is the weirdest thing I have seen, from the factory.....

Gives new meaning to a "mouse" motor.

Glad to hear one of the deealers is stepping up to the plate. The other one obviously isn't interested in customer service of any kind.
