Some Issues Handled under Warranty

My HHR with 14,000 miles on it started to developed a couple of the issues that have been discussed previously here in the forums.

1. Starter/cranking run on.
2. Brake Rotors out of round.
3. Exhaust Shield Rattle.

I'm happy to say that my dealer took care of all the problems, quickly, with great care to the vehicle and with a smile. Upon test driving after the stated repairs were done the Tech felt that the AC Compressor was a little too noisy. The tech took the vehicle back in and replaced the compressor. All done under warranty. My only cost was to have the yearly state emissions done. ( $50 ) I know that ths dealer didn't do anything special, just their job, but it was how they handled the work that impressed me. It just adds to the great experience of owning this car has been.

It's always nice to hear good things about a dealership. Hats off to them for doing the work with a smile.

I do have a question though...you mentioned that you had to pay for yearly emissions test. I thought new cars were exempt from them for several years...or is that just in certain states?

State of Pa. requires yearly inspections & emission tests. Normally you pay for both, by my dealer picks up the cost for the inspection for as long as I own the car. Inspection runs about $35-45.

Gotcha...thanks for the clarification. It doesn't work that way here in Colorado...ours are exempt from emissions tests for 4 years.
