Beer Can Make It Better

Ditto on the dusty SS brakes. They really make a mess of the front wheels. I'm going to try one of the new wheel cleaners. I washed the car last night and was not satisfied with the front wheels and contiplated removing them to clean them better. I had a cold beer instead and felt good with my decision.

Talking No more dust, well a whole lot less!

I used the Carquest house brand ceramic pads. They're made by Raybestos. The dust has significantly reduced. I haven't really noticed any difference in braking power. They also have a 2 year 24k mile warranty that's not prorated. Just remember with any combination of pad or rotor these parts are expendable and will wear out.

Some people say that lifetime warranty pads eat your rotors and likewise lifetime rotors destroy pads so buy both lifetime and your set, forever!

When the rotors go I'll replace with drilled/slotted ones (no warranty there), for looks not performance!
