Thank you

I came here looking for answers and started taking notes. Now if I can just get my hands on my 2009 HHR, maybe I can fix her.
She had a Caravan plow into the front left area over two months ago. You taught me that is where the computer is. They drove her onto the car hauler. Only reason she was towed was to save the left tire.
I don't know if her problems started before or after the body shop removed the damaged body parts. I'll be checking grounds and that fuse box under the hood.
They said they hooked their computer to my car and no codes showed. They were able to drive her a 'little' after they reset my computer, so they drove her to a shop. They kept their computer hooked to my car and reset my computer each time my car died on the road. I don't know if this action damaged my car's computer. Their friend mechanic has not had time to look at my car, so I will pay them off and have her towed to a different shop. Before I call the wrecker, I will do what I can under the hood. Keep your fingers crossed that this whole mess was caused by a loose ground or a disgruntled fuse box.

Thanks so much for the warm welcome!!

I'll be headed over to the body shop shortly. Praying I can control my temper. Otherwise, I'll update you after I get out of jail.

The last Chevy I owned was the one my Daddy bought new in 1957, the one I learned how to drive, the one I had to graduate from college before Daddy would give her to me... an India ivory two door hardtop BelAire boasting a 283 and Holley four barrel. I restored Jitney (her name) to origional. I worked on her, even to climbing in to adjust a stuck butterfly valve in a bad area of Baton Rouge. Last I heard she belonged to a collector in Jackson County, MS. I would sell my home if I had the chance to buy her back, not just any '57, Jitney.

This is interesting. Never known of a '57 Chevy with a Holley from the factory.
Do you have any pictures?
