The Black SS is the 2nd one. The 1st one, an 06, was a loaded one. I had it until April this year was garage kept never seen snow and very little rain. Had 14K on it when I traded it in for the SS, in fact the dealer gave me 14.5 for it.

I was happy with that one, I'm happier with this one. I was going to put a turbo on the 06 but GM did it for me and it has a warranty not to mention the SS is a 5 SPD

I'm going to buy an 09 for the better half.

I have a 1LT and am very happy with it since I put an anti-sway bar on it. I think it has more than enough power and I love the gas mileage and interior room. I only have 28K miles on it and owe only half of what it's worth. I also have a 0% interest loan.

What I hate is the cloth interior and the tan on tan color scheme. I'm now trying to decide if there is an advantage to buying a new one just to get leather seats and a newer model year. I love that new aqua blue color and want the rear window delete option to make my HHR stand out. But I'd have to order it and the dealer would need to give me retail for my old HHR to make up for the cost of interest on a new loan. After all, I paid them the sticker price on the last one because I saved $2200 on interest!
