Towing my HHR

If it is an automatic you should investigate cooling solutions for toweds. They are an electric motor that circulates the ATF.
And remember to pull the correct fuse. I don't recall which that is, somebody will.

You have to turn the key in order to unlock the steering wheel; turning the key turns electrical systems on; towing the car with electrical systems on will kill the battery.
I think it is fuse #8 on the BCM (inside fuse box).

If the PO installed the Blue Ox , and used it to tow the HHR , did he tell you how to connect it to a motorhome and which fuse?
in a link I found from 2005 in an RV forum GM stated you can flat tow but not dolly tow you HHR

Thanks Oldblue and everyone else for you input. The 2005 forum you linked me too was beneficial and sounds like I don't need to worry about overheating the Toad transmission when pull long distances and we have the other things worked out also. Now we just hope we have decent weather getting out of Michigan on April 2nd and points south!!
