All you have to do is own an SS the dollars are a mute point. The SS wheels will work on the 2LT panel for sure.
Sleeper you should think SSpanel before there are none, I would not give mine up for a 454 S/C S-10 extreme, not a chance. If you want to come visit the Mother in Law you can take mine for a spin.

hows the gas mileage on the SS compared to the LS? much difference? Im thinking long term since premium gas is like $1.50/L here compared to regular which is $1.30/L. But then I should get better mielage due to the turbo since my moms car is a 2001 Pontiac Bonneville SSEI V6 and its supercharged and it gets better mileage than my LS that I have now

My first HHR was a 06 LS. I find you get about the same gas mileage, only you want to step on it with a SS and that is when you loose on the mileage. 
The Ecotec 2.0L to me, is one of their best engines (used in the new Buick Regal) that also recommends premium fuel. Lots of torque and no bog like my old LS. The 2.4L is also a great Ecotec engine.

Skyline- Car salespeople can play a game with you to make you think you are getting a deal...
as somebody mentioned, you should bargain the price of the vehicle to where you like it, then get the value of your trade. It all comes from the same pot. the more they give you for your trade, the less they can take off of the price off the SS. In my case I asked that they pay off my old HHR (07 2lt) and give me the SS(08 auto with 35K) for $17,000(US) it was for sale for $17,500. Some people say that I got ripped off or what not, but thats the game the dealer is in. I owed $11,900 or so on my trade but it was only worth $9,000-$10,000 in excellent condition. so for them to pay off my trade in, they really cant budge on the price of the new one because they can really only sell the trade in for its market value or it will sit on the lot forever.
there is no question in my mind I could have gotten the SS for $16,000 or so IF I didn't owe as much as I did on my old HHR. But I got impatient and wanted it

it was worth the extra money per month payment IMO...you only get one life to live, so if you don't LIVE, whats the point?
