Do they make a transmission cooler for the automatic transmission in the HHR. my teardrop wieghs 620 lbs fully loaded with camping gear and food and the dog and i wiegh about 250 lbs so i think i'll be ok. Just like to have a little insurance.

 

The tranny is a sealed unit so it would take someone knowing what they are doing to add a cooler. Others have hauled over 1500# maybe more for short distances anyways. In your case with that little teardrop, you should not have any problems for you and your dog and you will still be under the limits set by Chevy for towing. Don't mess with it, just go out and have fun.


Noted you have an 08 and if you added a cooler your warranty would be gone.
