I just looked at some GM factory cut-a-ways of the 2010 2.0 LNF turbo motor & it had the HEAT EXCHANGER/OIL COOLER on it.

Can any owner of an 2010 HHR SS turbo confirm this?

If you do have this device on the car, have you had any problems with it?

I think it is good to have this device on a turbo charged car then it would be on a normally aspirated car, for better engine protection.

This engine is also used on the new ATS Cadillac 2.0T and it has the sandwich type adapter for the oil cooler. The oil filter is the conventional type also.

 

It's a different generation/version LNF that's in the Caddy's.
