ventvisor deflectors in car washes

Hi , I just received my side deflectors and there is a warning
about going thru car washes with brushes. Has anyone had any experience
with this or any ideas. Love my HHR

I went through an automated car wash with brushes, and didn't have any problems with my vent shades, other than the brushes gave them, and my paint, light swirl marks. Needless to say I won't be going back. I would rather hand wash it anyway, but at the time it was cold, and I wanted to get the road salt off the car. Back to the topic, this is the first I have heard about not going through a car wash with vent visors. I don't recall any such warning with mine, but I could have missed it.

Welcome to the site.

I have a warning about going through washes with brushes too....DON'T!! The brushes are just real hard on paint. I gotta say, i don't even know of any around me that still use brushes.

I've got the vents too and haven't had any trouble. I will say that be very careful about dryers at car washes though. some have the section in the middle that lowers and kinda rides along the car as you drive out....this type broke the base for my antenna and I had to have it replaced.

Yes, swirl marks here too. First car I've ever had with this problem. But like you said with our Northern Winters sometimes you just don't feel like doing it yourself. As for the visors, most add ons will give this kind of warning. I wouldn't dare take my ZX3 in one with its body kit and spoiler. Of course I couldn't anyway as the kit sits to low for the tracks.

We only go through the pressure washes here.

Can't wait for it to warm up a little more so I can wash and wax Spyro...and install all of the mods piling up

I always use soft cloth or touchless washes, and never had a problem. No brushes!
