Thumbs up Very Satisfied with my HHR after one year

I purchased my fully loaded 2006 LT new one year ago. It was the last 2006 on the lot so the price was heavily discounted. The only consession I made was the color. Majestic Amethest was not my first choice, but the discount made up for it and I have grown to like it.

I purchased my HHR as an economical alternative to an SUV. I do alot of home remodelling as a hobby and I move alot of materials. I ordered the cross rails for the roof rack from the dealer at the time of purchase and it has worked well for me.

My average is 28 MPG with a mix of city and highway driving.

I have over 20,000 miles and have had no problems, other then the tire vibration at 60 MPH. After dealer replacement and multiple rebalancing I have given up. I will replace the tires with a different brand when they are worn.

Also, I recently replaced the wiper blades. Thats it.

A lot of posts on this board are regarding problems, but I feel that most owners are happy. I think that most people without problems probably do not take the time to post and communicate their satisfaction.

I'm a year one owner. SO far no problems except for a stuck key in ignition/stuck in park which was repaired under warranty.

You always hear problems, you rarely hear compliments. I have had no issues with mine other than the A/C growl that was fixed a while back. A/C still worked, was just a little noisy at times. No vibration at all here and still the original wipers. But they are starting to smear some now. Oh well, but the birthdate, mine is over 2 now.

I think it is still good to hear of problems in case they do happen.

I've had my Blackie for 6 months and have had NONE of the problems anyone has had and feel lucky so far.

I replaced my trusty 99 V6 S10 for this (I still have "Indy") and don't feel I lost too much power with the 2.4 engine. I certainly get better mileage now and driving is a lot more fun! I don't know about others, but I look for any excuse to go for a drive!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my HHR and it was worth the 3 year wait to buy it. I have even grown to love the color (black was 4th choice). Like you, the deal/price was too good to pass up.

I look forward to many years of driving and fun!
