Wanting to remove the rear lift gate chrome strip w/chevy emblem. Have seen pictures of the bar replaced with a blank piece and painted body color. Is this item still available? Where to purchase?

That part(Rear End Panel & Tailgate Applique)is available from GM as PN 25844084(paint to match). List price is $145.63

But in order to remove the mounting location for the rear Bowtie, you'll have to do some custom work.

It's commonly referred to here as the "Beauty Bar", so try a quick search on that term and you'll see threads on modifying it.

Did a search on that beauty bar...sounds like a lot of work! Think I may try to find one from a bone yard and do the "body work" to that one.

I do like that! I was hoping to do away with that giant Chevy emblem, tho'. As soon as the paint comes in for the spoiler I ordered, I may go ahead and have the beauty bar done like yours.
