Water in my fuel line.
Water in my fuel line.
I have water in my 07 Chevy HHR and I put the heet in there but it seems like there's water in the fuel line and that was wondering the best place to disconnect the fuel line to get the water out of it. Also when I press the Schrader valve I get a Little Squirts of water mixed with gas. Otherwise the car will not start.
Also, do I need to take the spark plugs out or what else do I need to do because the car ran for about 500 ft and then completely died and that's when I realized that I had put water, about 16oz, into the gas tank thinking it was left over fuel. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Moved from tutorials.
The fuel pump will only run for about 3 seconds without the engine starting. I guess the best way would to be disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail then jump the fuel pump relay and pump into a bucket. The pull the fuel rail off and dump it out.
You would need as HEET as water then agitate the tank. HEET is alcohol, it absorbs the water into a combustible solution. If you pour a cup of water into a cup of alcohol the volume in the cup will barely change.
Water is heavier than gas, the fuel pump picks up from the bottom, so you might be able to just pump the water out.
