We're keeping "Bugs"....

My little HHR has recently had to have the steering column and shaft replaced, bushings and the sway bar replaced, and the ticking noise continues. I was surprised to get a call from the dealer saying the GM Canada will give me $2000 cash if I will take the car back, that they are trying to get all of them turned back in. I have heard, from the local dealer, that there is a high demand for these lovely little cars. $2000 is pretty tempting, but it tells me this car is pretty valuable. I politely declined, my "Bugs" will stay at home with us. I have never seen such great gas mileage as this car has, its comfortable to sit in and drive and we love it.

What does a ticking noise have to do with a trade in incentive? Here in the US they call it a "loyalty" discount or rebate, any GM vehicle gets it in trade.

Moved your thread and retitled it patches, thanks for being a member here and for your loyalty to Bugs.

In this time of scandal, sensationalism, and concern over the ignition recall, it's nice to know that you have faith in your HHR as so many of us do.

GM in the states is offering $500. per owner of any recall vehicles, to be applied to trading into a newer GM (Only).
