You shouldn't take it to anyplace that doesn't know how to change oil because they don't have the proper manual! That means they are pulling any idiot kid off the street and paying them $6.50 an hour to work on your car! Changing your oil is the most basic of any vehicle upkeep, it ranks up there with changing the air filter. If you take it to a good shop or dealership there should be no problem because it is a knowledgable certified mechanic working on your vehicle.
