Clutch time!

Started the job yesterday, missed nats for it. Had to stop in the middle, got the tranny dropped today, had the new clutch on and was torquing bolt when the last one broke off before the wrench clicked, grrrrrr

Have to wait until tomorrow to get a new set of bolts, already extracted the broken one, then I can put my car back together. Seriously involved job not recommended for the faint of heart.

I drove a 77 924 for years. Fun to drive, I have not driven a turbo but ought to be a blast.

Hey, how many miles on the clutch when you had to replace it? I have an '06 with 81,000 on it, but it spends most of it's time in 5th on the highway so I'm not sure when I should replace it (Clutch feel hasn't changed in the 31k miles since I bought it) Is there a mileage I should replace it at just to be safe?

Replaced my struts and shocks with Kyb. This is a very nice match. Rides like stock corners like an SS.

This is the tenth combination I have done, Chuck can do it with his eyes closed now. The front raised a bit and the rear stayed, close to level now.

Mine has 156000 km on it. A clutch doesn't normally just fail, it wears out over time so you will have plenty of warning by way of slippage. When you have trouble passing people, and it takes a mile run up to hit highway speed then its probably time.

Also that broken bolt.... lol don't do that, they're $15 a piece, only available from the dealer(I tried every fastener company i could find), and they have to order them.
