just got back from getting new tires installed, big surprise, the best price in town, after going to several local tire shops, was my GM dealer, I took in the estimates and they were $73.58 lower than them , no mounting fees, no tire custodian fees , no valve stem charges, no balancing charges, no tire disposal fees, just the tires and the 13% taxes. I am floored.

Sometimes your dealer can give you a great deal on tires, as you found out, it pays to shop around.

funny you say that 843de, the song playing on the oldies station as I pulled out of one of the local tire shops was Smokey Robinson and the Miracles "you'd better Shop Around".
These Advantage T/A's are so much more quite than the Traction T/A's they replaced.
Going out for a spin to ensure the balance and alignment are in tune with the new rims, then sit at home waiting for my new 11.65 crossdrilledrotors.ca parts to show up!

Well, today was oil & filter change day, washed and cleaned up K&N air filter.
I scrubbed and cleaned, then epoxy painted my new to me SS caliper mounts,(thanks to the member I purchased them from, you know who you are)
Changed spark plugs, AC Delco 103's of course.
The deliver guy just showed up with my Cross Drilled Rotors 11.65 inch SS rotors and ceramic pads, these are the nicest rotors I have seen for the street.
The mailman was 5 minutes later with the 67.1 mm OD 65.1 mm ID hubcentric rings for the Wheel Vintque rally rims, I ordered from the old E-bay.
I will be doing a install and why the rings are required later. for now I'm off for a coffee and some bench racing with the guys

HHR #2 Decided to play I'm Keeping the Key and you can't turn me off at 745am

Having been through this with #1 and being only a block away from the dealer I went straight there.
They dropped me off at work and at at 920am got the call that the work was done!!

They even washed it!!

Obviously they were planning it in advance so #2 could get a bath.

HHR's are crafty creatures and late at night you can hear them plotting their next move.

to your dealer, that's the kind of service every dealership should provide.
