Just finished de-badging it. Finally got rid of that ugly dealer decal too.

First off Congrats on the new ride Wowjason! This forum has been great to me so far, and hope you find a nice place here too.

Well today my buddy paid back all the metal work I did on his truck. He stopped over in the afternoon, and with 2 guys working all day, we got a few things done. He's a old buddy from the Air Force, and he had the pleasure of working on C-130s when I was stuck on f-15s before we both got stuck on the f-22. When it comes to fitting metal, he is on point.

We started by finishing up the driver side.

And started fabing the passenger side of the top of the bed.

Since he is faster at cutting and fitting, I worked the composite work for the bumper shave as he was working some metal. All those years on c-130s paid off for him. Heavy's are so much more fun than fighters to work.

Wide shot of the bumper.

This is the one that really makes me happy. The wood bed! I stained the front, and had Ole girl stain the sides and back. To me this is the crowning jewel of this build. Never mind the fancy paint, and tail light shave... When it is parked somewhere, the wood bed is going to be what everyone looks at, I think. Spent about half an hour today trying to engineer the struts to make it open and close like the lift gate used to for access to the air suspension.

Wowjason, nice work, enjoy the SS.
Awesome progress Vic.

today I just went out for coffee, I had to listen to my friend brag on how his '62 409 Chevy is nicer than the black one sold last week on Barrett-Jackson. I told him to consign it in April and he better be ready to accept a little bit less than he thinks it's worth. $350,000. I have worked on his 409 for years, so maybe I'm too close to see the forest for the trees!

Well today I have put 30,000 miles on my 10 LT. It had 8040 miles when I test drove the car and today it turned 38,040 miles. Not bad since Oct of 2010.
