Gave some serious thought to washing my '06, but then I realized it would be an exercise in futility.

The foggy haze this morning isn't a foggy haze, it's bloody pollen!

So the clean pair will remain under their covers in the garage, while the black one will continue to get greener and greener, along with the wife's Fiat.

Our pollen count is in the "Extreme" catagory according to the chirpy weather gal on the TV, well no (SNEEZE!!), kidding lady.

Now where'd I put the Zyrtec?

The Red SS Panel arrived today. DrDjPhil and his buddy Jonathan drove it from Salisbury Md. today after a stop last night at Pittsburg, Pa to pick up a new Mustang rental car for the return trip. The SS was every thing he said it was! I never knew what power the SS with Triveca tune made . I'm happy as can be! Pictures to come, I'm still not sure what the black 08 Panel think's of its new garage mate!...john

Took the '06 2LT on a trip to Columbus, GA. roughly 1 1/2 hours down, and the same back. Used cruise control most of the way and got 30+ mpg. HHR ran great!!

Thanked my wife profusely for washing the pollen off of the '06 on her way back from church this morning.

The poor critter was green from nose to tail, thanks again Sweetie!

I've been nursing a sore back all day, so my apologies to the folks who waited so long for my replies to their PM's, your Admin Guy needs to say "no" when friends ask for help installing new dishwashers.

Not today but Saturday I installed a GM TOB after the one that came with my KY clutch failed. Second time around was a lot quicker in the pulling the tranny.

manifold install

Had some time today to do some defered projects. Installed a 2.4 intake today. Piece of cake. Took a hour and half. The car drives a little better. We will see if the MPG goes up.

If you didn't have the battery disconnected while you swapped intakes, disconnect the NEGATIVE battery cable for 30 minutes to trigger the ECM's "Learn Down Mode".

That will allow the ECM to revise things like Fuel Trims as you drive, that way you'll get the full benefits of the 2.4 manifold's slightly better flow characteristics.
