Small world!! While driving back home from downtown in my El Camino, I stopped at a traffic light. In front of me was the HHR we sold last March! They say that they love it and it hasn't given them a bit of trouble.

Cool!

Bet you felt that odd feeling you get when you see your old friend again, sort of a sad longing mixed with pleasure that it's being well maintained.

Tried to change the air filter yesterday, boy was that a bust. I couldn't find all of the mounting points and I needed different tools than what I had. My dealer will replace it for $12.00 almost looks worth it at this point. The cabin air filter was a breeze and boy was it dirty. I need to change it a little more often.

You know, I can't say if that is a Federal Law. But somehow the Feds apply "juice" to standardize the speed limits, if the state wants federal funds for road building/maintenance/assistance. Might just be a requirement.

This was introduced specifically for the notoriously rumored speed traps of the small Southern towns. Since enacted, most have changed the signs and comply, as I understand it. But a few are still around......even in larger metro areas.
I think the most famous "speed trap" is/was Ludowici, Georgia. That is the town that the AAA/or Govenor Lester Mattox put up a billboard warning drivers of the up coming speed trap and the then governor Lester Maddox or Carl Sanders suspended the police department's arrest powers. That ended the notorious speed trap. It was so infamous that even recorded a song about it. http://www.atlantatimemachine.com/im..._billboard.jpg
