Changed Filters

Just changed my air and cabin filters. I've had my '10 Panel for one year, thought dealer did these changes when it was GM certified, but I may have been ripped off in this regard. Now has 53,000 miles -- too late to change these for maybe the first time.

Mileage and power had dropped a few weeks ago. Followed great tutorial by member Black Rose for changing air filter --

https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/main...-filter-10757/

More power now and mpg going up

Cabin filter was dirtiest filter I had ever seen of any kind of filter! Followed instructions by member urbexHHR for replacing. Air is now working so much better, had to turn it down 2 speeds.

Like so many have already said on this forum, don't neglect these two items, and thanks to the above members for caring enough to post these how-to's!

Put in SS Seats

Found a deal on SS seats in good condition, so installed them in my '10 LT Panel.

Trying to figure out a way to cover up the SS embroidery so I don't offend any of you real turbo guys.

These seats don't have a radically different shape to them, but they have dramatically changed the ride dynamics of my panel! Not sure if the seat bottom has more padding then my old stock seats, but in addition to feeling much better, giving me power adjustments instead of manual, lumber support for my aching back, and a little more side bolster support, the RIDE is MUCH more comfortable; almost like I had done some major suspension work! I run 18", and thought I'd never be able to handle the increased firmness of lowering springs, but now with these SS seats, I'm rethinking things.

Who'd a thunk seats could make that big of a ride difference!

Don't hide the embroidery. Just don't go sticking SS badges on it too lol.

Now you got me wanting SS seats.

I hope to find some in an SS panel some day ....

Had some wrench time on my Panel this afternoon.
Changed out the original stock rotors for new and tossed in new pads too!

No more wobble during braking!!

All the parts were on sale at Canadian Tire this week at half price.

Shoulda stocked up

SS Seats

Fox Hat, Some SS seats on Ebay from an 08 panel. Not sure if all SS seats early on are power though.

Keep an eye out for CEL's Frenchy, some members here have had codes pop up after installing a K&N filter. Sometimes they're "over oiled" right out of the box, that oil can then foul the MAF Sensor.

If you do pop a CEL have it pulled, and if it's MAF related, grab a can of MAF Sensor Cleaner and decontaminate the sensor.

It's been a while since a K&N/CEL issue has been reported, but an over oiled filter does get out of their factory every once and a while.

All that being said, you'll love the poly bushings, especially in colder temps where they don't stiffen up and get noisy like the OEM bushings.

Yesterday I used mine to transport O gauge trains to the Virginia Museum of Transportation for a running session for
grandparents Day. Ran trains all day, got a ride in a caboose. Good day
