I got cold feet on the plastidip. I didn't have all day to be without a car, so I opted for the cheap and quick flat black rattle cans. Looks good and only took about an hour. I'm going to find some Malibu 5-spoke alloys by spring anyway. Maybe I'll 'dip the steelies then. Still planning on the marker light/blink mod. Maybe next weekend.

Replaced the rear liftgate emblem today after painting the new one gloss black. Just a little thing but it makes it look much better.

Looks great. Now, I would removed that ugly wiper for a super clean look.

That blacked out Bowtie really fits well with the paint on your HHR Sileny, very nice!

As for me, drove to work, parked in the hanger, and surrounded Paddy with ant traps again.

Charlotte-Douglas Airport is still being invaded by red ants, and now they're getting into parked aircraft, that's a huge deal. It's bad enough getting them out of a car, but when the little buggers invade a plane, you have a grounded aircraft.

So, even though my coworkers and the line crew make fun of me, no ant shall pass my chemical fortifications.

Did you circle Paddy with a line of salt to keep the little devils away, Mike? Those little ants can make a mess out of a car I never thought about a airplane!

As for me, I still sit a and watch the years go by! Still on the Disabled list! Doc says some nerve damage in my legs and right chest and arm may take 6 to 18 months to clear up!
So I'm benched, I did try to detail and wax the HHR but my wife finished it, I got the hood done and that was it , she noticed I was having some problems so she came out with a chair for me and she finished up, Oh What a Lucky Man!

Painted the fog inserts because I'm poor and can't afford fogs. The "flap" parts are a gunmetal metallic with the outer part black. There's a bit of overspray, but it isn't that noticeable on the car.

I'm actually saving to to my exhaust right now, so I'm not all that worried about fogs.

And dont you have to patch into the fuse box and what not for non factory equipped cars?
