Tried to install new serpentine and tensioner today. Didn't have a small enough 3/8 breaker to get in there. Have to borrow the correct tool tomorrow....

And he's still with GM, although he was "Laterally Promoted"(demoted in other words) to head up the Styling Division of GM in China.

No I did not, that would never happen. I traded my ( originally for her) '87 T-bird Turbo Coupe for it. john

Had a meet up with Dbeluscak and his lovely wife and children in Niagara on the lake, hope they are enjoying the rest of their vacation touring thru Southern Ontario!
Today back to the Doctors for a follow up visit for my eyes, I don't have Cadillacs so good thing I own an HHR, but AMD and glaucoma are now rearing their ugly heads, I go back in six months for a follow up and see what course of action needs to be taken.
Sweetie's leg is a lot less swollen, but still sore after a short walk.
Getting old really sucks!
Gas is at 99.9 cents a litre here but a barrel of oil is below $40.00, so I don't know what gives there, that is still $3.78 a U.S. Gallon

Cleaned under the hood today. It was mess. Pulled the throttle body off and gave it a good cleaning as well. Now I have that pesky little high idle that takes a few seconds to calm down after coming to a stop. If it doesnt clear itself by tomorrow I will perform the HHR lobotomy.

Sorry about further issues there oldblue. Hope its all minor.

Sorry to hear about all the medical problems, Oldblue. But yeah, getting old is a b***h. I'm in the same situation with the eyes but just borderline on the glaucoma. My Doc says when it's time for medical attention I should also consider Lasik type procedures as well since most of the cost is absorbed in the glaucoma procedure (I currently wear glasses although my actual eyesight hasn't changed in 4 years). You might discuss this as well, if you are a glasses wearer.

Oh, and to add to the topic of this thread (kind of).....

The guy who purchased my HHR (a friend) sent me a text message with a photo attached. He just turned 66,666 miles on the HHR (sold it to him with a little over 61,000) and the ambient was 66 degrees in upstate Minnesota. Still running well and appreciates the 32 MPG he got on the trip up there.

Thanks Snoopy, I'll mention that when I see the Dr. In 6 months. For now no more gripes about these issues just enjoying life as I know it!
Today gonna give the HHR a wash and vacuum , then a trip to Paris, Ontario to check out the hot rods and catch up with some friends there.
