Today a ride in the rain to Hamilton to visit Sweetie!!
We're getting the remnants of Patricia!!
Playing this for my girl and anyone else out there with a loved one battling cancer!
Give her a hug , gentle now and play her this!

Then just hold her hand and smile it really seems to help!!!

Installed KYB struts and shocks this past weekend. Somewhat stiffer than the fe1 shocks, but no more bounce so Im happy. Weird thing though, the top eyelets for the rear shocks were a quarter inch too wide for the housing. So I called the autoparts store and KYB to check the numbers on the shocks thinking I got the wrong ones. The numbers matched and I was re assured they were the right shocks. So out came the angle grinder and off went the access material. Problem solved.

A few weeks behind on my "dids"

Great to hear Sweetie is doing better there Ol Blue! Had to catch up on 10 pages of material...its been about 3 weeks.

Haven't been able to post pics since I broke my phone, but I've got some updates on the 07 LT I picked up. Originally, we were going to get it running and drive it through the winter so we could park the SS. When my mother saw the color she fell in love with it. The 2.2L had jumped time and bent several intake valves. Since it's now going to become "Grandma's" HHR a complete "freshening up" was in order. Complete rebuild, dumped the trans and switched to synthetic, polished/painted everything possible so far. Like I said, its a few weeks worth...I'll let the pics say the rest.

Here's how I picked it up. Technically it drove onto the truck so it was running, only on 3 cylinders and lots of racket!

Here's how it looked, 150,140 miles on it.

It's a family affair, here's the kids "helping"

We'll skip all the boring taping and sanding pics. Here's the finished product!

Okay, this is 12 hours I'll never get back. But...well worth it. Mom wants to pop the hood next the SS at the car shows! It's a shame 90% is covered by the air box.

Reinstalled this weekend.

Going to have to do something about this airbox

Also color matched the brakes while it was down.

And here it is back on the road. Couple of rust on the passenger doors in the corners. Other than that, pretty solid. Oh, and the SS rims I snatched locally with Falken Snow tires! And locally was 5 minutes down the street..couldn't pass them up.

Lookin' great Dbeluscak!

My Crank It song yesterday in an Avis Cadillac was Seasons of Love from RENT, it's my Michelle's favourite song.....

Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes
Five hundred twenty five thousand moments so dear
Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure, measure a year?
In daylights, in sunsets
In midnights, in cups of coffee
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife
In five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure, a year in the life?

I'll make sure to catch up on Helen's Crank It songs Oldblue, keep kickin' butt Miss H.

Very nice Dbeluscak .
There are a few airbox replacement solutions on this forum that would let your polishing efforts be seen.

N Nice work there Dan! Maybe one of these will clean up the engine bay and show off the buff engine! It's abit spendy but think of it as an early Mother's Day gift from the grand kids!

Today's ride was a lot of deek and dodge, very high winds , so lotsa trash cans and tree limbs! We're get the remnants of Patricia, had 60mm of rain yesterday! This should clear be the weekend!

My on the drive home crank today will be the Fab Four ( some with Jimmie Nickles) again (hey, Sweetie and I grew up with these guys on the radio!!
