Whenever I need a battery, I'm going to spring for an AC/Delco. It's amazing how long many of them last.
Today I put on my new Moon license plate frame. I took off a dealer's sticker on the left and a 'flexfuel E85' badge on the right. I think it looks better without all the placards.

Well, it was battery time for my HHR's ,too. The SS panel started sluggish last weekend, so it was time for an A-C Delco to replace the original that was in since summer of '08. The '08 panel still had the original from summer of '07 so for a test of endurance I bought one of NAPA's best for it.

I also got the full carpet mats back from the local upholstery guy. Got red on the edge for the SS and all black for the '08.

well i was getting noise from up front again. i ordered endlinks. went to put them on. should have looked first. they loosened up!!! so i retightened them and my LCA's. man it rides like it was new again!!!

while i was under there i tightened the oil pan. how the hey do they loosen up!! the larger bolt to the driversside moved about a 1/4 turn. also the 1/4" screws on the lower pan were loose as well. so i walked each one from inside to out.

they i washed her and cleaned the interior.

good to go for at least another week!!!

The Batman no longer has an HHR, and hasn't been here in about 2 1/2 years. Here is a search for his posts about wax (I think he clay barred)

Claybar then polish then wax. Welcome to the site!
Today was a trip to Hamilton from tests for Sweetie, the ride was smooth and comfy.
We took the highway this time no shake when decelerating, I replaced the drive shafts on Saturday.

I use FW1, its a spray wax, if thats the kind you want to use. It doesn't last really long though. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to clay bar it, as I could feel deposits on the hood as I was petting, sorry polishing it. LOL.

I tried a brisk acceleration test to catch up to a friend on the highway, put my foot into it, but the low traction warning flashed, followed by some tire smoke. Must have been black ice, in July? LOL

I replaced my Falken tires with set of Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus tires at Costco. Great deal, buy a set of 4 and get $70 off and 1 penny installation per tire. Includes free road hazard warranty, free balance and rotate, free flat repair for the life of the tires.

These tires have a smoother, quieter ride than the Falkens. Only 25 miles on them but, very pleased at this point.
