That's true. My car shows no sign of carbon buildup, though. The old plugs were really clean. They didn't even have the carbon ring I was expecting down near the electrode. This car's high tech direct injection system is remarkable.

Replaced my air filter couple weeks ago and plan on changing my plugs next week with AC Delco. Only have 78k and thinking it's too soon. Could use a lot more pep, that's for sure. Also have mild clatter - owned for 4 months so I don't know if that's normal for the HHR.

Be thankful you do not have direct injection(i.e. SS), you would have to worry about gunk buildup.

My chatter actually turned out to be a broken whisker on a spark plug. Caused an audible clacking as well as noise from the evap system.

Maybe I should pull 'em and check instead of changing them. Perhaps my TB needs cleaning as well.

Today I was finally able to park my HHR in my garage again!

We had to store some furniture in the garage for about year and my HHR had to sit in the unforgiving Texas sun that whole time. Someone picked up the furniture on Wednesday. I spent a few hours yesterday cleaning up and organizing the garage. Tonight, my HHR is now safely tucked away in my garage.

When I was done, I took this photo. I thought the lighting made the HHR look pretty cool. :)

What an amazingly simple car. Today, it took more time to jack it up and put stands underneath than it did to change the rear springs and shocks.
