What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?
Told ya! Well maybe I didn't, but I didn't have time!
How is the ride height? Right where you want it? Next a TTR rear swaybar!
Today we just took a leisurely drive along Lake Erie to Port Dover then on to Port Rowan, had lunch and cruised back.
That little rattle / clunk still surfaces from the 1 inch sway bar bushings, I'm ordering the Moog K90400 25 mm bushings , hey $14.00 CDN if they make no difference then so be it, but I believe that extra 4/10ths of a mm is enough movement.
It gets worse after the grease gets worked out of the space between the bar and the polyurethane bushings.

Blue, you may not have told me, BUT, everyone at this site has mentioned how simple these things are to work on. The TTR went on last week along with some Goodyear Eagle Sport A/S tires. Monday I'm tackling the front brakes (PowerStop), stabilizer bushings and end links. I also added HHR splash guards, not that it rains much here in Az, but they look good.
As for the ride height, the rear is now 3/4" lower. Unfortunately, I now hit my head on the rear lift gate, I guess I'll have to remember to duck. I'll adjust my headlights this evening after it gets dark, or at least darker.
I ran the wiring for my fog lights this morning using this sticky https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...ory+fogs+lamps. It seemed daunting without having actually looked in the fuse box while reading through the thread, but it was actually fairly easy. Just follow the steps and you're good to go. The hardest part was opening the cover to the fuse box.
I haven't installed the lights yet, but did verify operation and am getting twelve Volts to the end of the wire. As stated in the thread, everything works, I just don't get the fog light symbol on the dash without getting the BCM flashed. But I still can tell because the gauge cluster lights illuminate when the fogs are turned on.
If you don't have fog lights installed, I recommend doing the factory ones yourself instead of going after market.
Here's the mock fit Up. I couldn't help myself.

Installed front brakes, bar links and front splash guards. Noticed drivers side inside brake pad was worn more than the others. Cleaned and regreased sliders. Still haven't found and fixed brake light issue but I haven't stopped the search
Today drove up to Hamilton, Sweetie has more tests, then back to St Catharines, Willow was taken to the hospital there with high fever and she is having sporadic convulsions, they have that stablized and it'll take 48 to 72 hours for test results
Bless her little heart, I hope she gets well soon. It's scary when little babies get sick, they can't tell us where it hurts.
