The upper engine mount is most likely the cause of the flex pipe damage!
The paint I’m sorry to say was a waste of time, I went with stainless steel 2inch catalytic converter pipe. It perked up the performance a touch .

Today rolled on up to the hospital in St Catharines for an MRI

 

First oil change since I purchased my '11 HHR back in May. I have to say it was one of the easiest oil changes I've ever done!

 

They are easy! And once you get the hang of a ziplock baggie for the oil filter, not so messie!

 

Although my '06 HHR was traded in 2015 (133,000 miles) it was the easiest car to change the oil. It's replacement comes with a lifetime oil change from the dealer. so I haven't had to do any more oil changes. I still have a new oil filter on my parts shelf for the car, but I know no one who has an HHR.

 

Actually, that part wasn't messy at all. When I jacked-up the car at the 'arrow jacking point', I discovered it was easier to crawl under from the front of the car. The oil drain pan nut was easy to break loose, and when I replaced it, it sorta stopped on its own - like some sort of 'stop' in the threads to keep from over-tightening it. Funny thing - was the oil filter cap was difficult to break loose even though I had the special low profile 32mm socket with extension. It's a 3/8" drive and I had trouble with it because my 3/8" drive ratchet is, well, wretched LOL I've got a 1/2" drive extendable ratchet, and it's a BEAST!

 

Bought a new stove for my kitchen. It fit in the HHR and it looks good in the house.

 

Rolled out to the hospital in Welland for Sweetie’s pulmonary tests! She’s been doing ok since her transplant, just a follow up test to ensure everything is working, as it should be!

Brought home some roofing shingles today (5 bundles). They weren't that heavy when I was 25. I love this vehicle and am sorry it took so long for me to acquire one. Oh yeh, and it hit 126621 today.
