I ordered up some Monroe quick struts. I figured if I was going to go through the trouble of replacing both sway bar links I may as well do the struts.

Took my "Toughie" to a body shop to have factory running boards installed only to be told that mine did not have the holes in the body for the brackets. "Toughie" was constructed 10/05. Could this be true or am I getting my leg pulled?

So ask them how the non running board lower rocker panels are held on to the HHR, they use the same holes

That's what I thought. Is it possible that there are no threaded inserts in those holes due to the early build date?

Pictures would help.
And if there are holes and no inserts, put them in.

Will do, So far I'm really impressed how well it cleans & the wax shines. Really brings up ther richness in the paint.. It is like clay barring while doing the wax job.. And can be used with machine buffer as well as by hand. This is supposed to be once a year Cream Wax.

He sent me 2 quarts, so I should be good for long while.

Oldblue, I have looked through and read both posts prior to starting this project. Thanx again for the help. I'll get pictures next week when I try doing this again.
