What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?
Been an irritating 12 hours with the old HHR...first, I was hand washing it in the driveway with my son's. They like to help. It was fairly cool out, so I washed all the way around from the drivers side to the passenger side. Came back around to rinse off the drivers side and my youngest son had helped rewash the drivers door with some gravel in his hand. 9 or 10" squiggly line on the door. He didn't do it on purpose, but the damage was done. Very light scratch that cleaned up pretty well with some cleaner wax...gotta get some rubbing compound to finish it off. GRRRRRRRRR.
Next, went to replace the drivers front side marker (don't get me started on having to pop the fender liner out!) and the friggin bulb breaks while I'm pulling it out. 45 min and a leatherman later and all is working well. Chipped the 194 out systematically with a "your gonna come out or else" mentality.
Heading to AutoZone tonight for some rubbing compound and a new cabin filter.

re-install rear panel
Re-installed the hatch panel I removed a few weeks back when I removed the rear wiper. Masked off and painted the Bowtie silver, the little woman suggested that. Maybe she's beginning to understand me..

Sorry, I haven't posted in a while- But I do visit twice a day!
Today I recieved and installed a red TTR rear sway bar. Super easy, made one helluva difference. No body roll at all.
A couple weeks ago I got the HHR Panel rustproofed. They sprayed it everywhere... Musta used a dry shoprag to wipe the overspray off - Not good... So I buffed and polished it one more time. Then thought it was time to try Zaino. I know alot of you (including my bodyman) don't care much for it. I never used it before, but I was tired of fingerprints in the wax. I like it, no streaks or swirls and leaves no prints on the black paint. No greasy waxy feel to it.
Next mod is to install the black early 50's chevy truck armrests on the back doors, but thats another story...John
