Thank you, he was 89, had an awesome life. He was ready, as he lost his wife just a few years ago, but she was in a facility with Alzheimer’s for ten years before that.

Sorry to hear of this Steve. Not that he's gone but this made me think of my father who is 87 and in his words is ready to go and has been since mom passed in 2002.
On an HHR note I removed the led's from my front turn signals to stop the hyper-flashing. Tomorrow I get to replace the multi switch.

That's how my Mom went just 5 years ago on the April 11th, from Alzheimer’s.. Sometimes she would remember things I couldn't remember, other times she did not know who I was. Kind'a rips yer heart out.

Least maybe you can find comfort that your friends father & mother are together again..

Put it BACK into the shop for another $1600 or so repair. That makes $8000 in the last 6 months.
I can tell you what I WON'T do. I will never own another Chevy after this. 65k miles and already a money pit.
