Well that was a big fail.
Found the nail but my cheap Auto Zone plug wicks are junk.
No tire shop open today.
Use the "great" Harbor Freight air pump until tomorrow.
Could be cheap and go to where I use to work and use their stuff but guess what.
It's going to rain all day and yes I'll have to do this outside.

Finally got around to replacing the Camshaft Actuator Solenoids. Man, what a bear!
The lion's share of the job was getting the air filter box off to get access to the buggers.
Those rubber grommet thingies that insulate the air box from the valve cover were not deteriorated, they were FOSSILIZED!

Had to chip them away in tiny pieces to get the thing loose. I am guessing previous owner NEVER removed it.
Replaced plugs while I had it off, then ordered replacement "insulators."

What a nice difference. No more CEL and I can use the Remote Start again.

Cat Man.
Roof racks were optional on the 08,09 SS. Not available for the 2010 SS as a new car option.

30.8 Mpg on trip

Sunday drive for golf to Reno NV and back. Start at 500 foot elevation East on I 80 over Donner Summit 7057' to Reno 4500' and back. 240 miles total approx.

The DIC calculated 30.8 mpg at 61 mph average total. Light traffic uphill early in the morning and mpg was in the mid 20's. ('08 2.2L 5spd) Coming back is majority downhill so much better mpg returning, also traffic, into a setting sun lowered speeds as well.

I 80 highway travel majority of route up and back . On this interstate 1000' ft elevation gain or loss over about every ten miles or so.

The weather tech side window deflectors put on this week must have helped me aerodynamically.

Today a run to the Niagara River for a 5 klm walk , gotta get Sweetie up to speed for strolling the beaches in Florida next spring.
I rinsed off the BlackSwan, it’s in the high 30’s , low 40’s here, so the roads are sloppy from the melting snow.
I got our juniper trees back up straight , they bent up ver from the snow last week, I usually cover them with burlap but didn’t get them done prior to that storm.
