What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?

New HHR owner. Sort of.
Bought a 2007 HHR LT for my 17yr old daughter yesterday. My boss replaced the front bushings/swaybars etc. cost me $83.
Today I cleaned the interior, did an oil change, engine air filter (wth!) and cabin air filter. Replaced two bulbs, rear wiper and fixed the rear windshield wiper fluid leak. It’s got 94k miles and everything else looks good. Going to get her new tires on Monday.
brakes look good! Didn’t know they still did rear drums. Last time I did drums was on my 1986 Camaro.
overall this car isn’t too bad to work on. Hope it serves her well. Monday will be 60 degrees so it will be wash, wax, seal time.

wow, i ordered the tires at noon and at 3:30 they called and said they were in so by 4:30, it's got new tires on it. Went with General GMAX-AS05.

Don’t forget, this was a used bar I purchased way back in 2012, from a fellow member, the original bolt plates or bolts corroded, when I removed the bar to sell it , those bolts snapped during removal.
Then when I got the 2011, I installed using metric bolts with a flange in both the bolt and the nut, I did use a drop of blue Loctite on all four bolts , maybe I didn’t shake the bottle enough, then again , it was a 1992 vintage bottle!
I’ll post pictures when I reinstall the bar in a few weeks.
Today , it’s sit at the mil’s while the furnace guys replace the 30 year old furnace.
It is snowing again anyways, yuck!

PS: Don't forget to check the rear drum brakes for proper adjustment. The HHR's don't self adjust as well as they should. As a result the front rotors have to do double duty & that can cause vibrations in stopping.
I check mine when I do it's yearly oil change & service.
Today the Mrs & I rolled the Panel out to hit Outback Steakhouse, excellent grub. Then leaving couldn't resist stopping at local Lincoln Dealer. Checked out the Lincoln MKC, Very well thought out ride (small SUV). It had things on it I felt the GMC Terrain Denali definitely should have.

Ok, one day! We enjoyed a short drive and TPMS light goes on , the left rear was going flat, I pulled into a service station and quickly found a drywall screw in the centre of the tread!
So tomorrow off to my tire guy to fix that flat.

Yes, I did , my subdivision has a new area of houses being built , so workers drive down my street in their construction trucks, perhaps they have dropped a few screws .

Passed SMOG test and paid the DMV fees to the tune of $200 total.
Back in the day when the service station business was slow my Dad told me to go out and throw a handful of nails in the road. Sure helped tire sales and repairs! JK!!!
