Drove the Mopar down to the Dealership, since that is where we got the battery still under warranty. Wife followed in my Panel. Just in case..
They confirmed my 'load test' results, weak battery & good alt. They offered to install the new 650CCA battery for only $99.99 + tax.. No way. So we drove home w/ fresh new battery for her Mopar..

So Gotta install that tomorrow.

As to the covid shots, IDK about that yet.. I hear after both doses you still have to wear mask & can still catch it.. I don't get it ?

Lowered

Just bought my 2009 LS 7 weeks ago, 2nd owner, 125k miles. I just put Eibach lowering springs on, + I added a Chrome mesh grill last week.Changed the whole look of it.

no other mods planned right now. Got the car a little cheaper as it needed front end work. Needed lower control arms, outer tie rods, front tires, & struts, so I decided to do the lowering springs at the same time. Runs like a top, 1st owner took good care of it. Need to read all the forums to get ideas for more mods :)

Welcome aboard Patrick- Yer ride is looking good at that lowered altitude w/ custom grille.

My ride slept beside me while I worked on putting in the new Mopar battery with my battery charger (memory saver) attached.
The engineer that put that battery behind the headlight inside the fender musta had a good sense of humor. That is battery # 2, I've installed for the Mopar since 2008.

Same with the Chrysler Sebring I used to own. Had to remove the LF tire to gain access - Battery was in a niche just big enough to slide the battery out.

Same with my nieces 2010 Dodge Journey, and you thought the HHR had a weird battery location !

Pittkrew- Exactly, same place & same procedure. And that battery gets wet in rains from front tire slinging the rain over & thru the seam on inner front fender section.

Blue- Yikes pretty rusted battery box. But same location as on our '08 Avenger SXT, only difference, the Battery & hold down bracket are cross ways in comparison tho..Neg Terminal is towards front of car, & Pos is in rear.. And big metal strap that unbolts going from outward part of box to the upward inner part. See image below.

But I think the HHR battery is in the best location.. Away from engine heat & weather. I think that's why the batteries last so long..

Not our car, but random image of Avenger Battery set up, hold down bracket & support brace.

This is her car tho... Modern Blue in color, '08 Dodge Avenger SXT.
