Ordered new front brake pads and LCA rear bushings for the BlackSwan, I installed these FE5 bushings last August and already that annoying clunk is back!
I got a nice note from Michelle, she just had Paddy detailed , she sent photos.

This was 843de’s HHR, she’s keeping it clean at least.

Paddy cleaned up real good! Mike would be proud!

The rear bushings in the lower control arms, the FE 5 bushings are solid , the FE 1/2 bushings are hinged, both fail pretty quickly, it’s been a rough year for potholes!

I installed the solid Moog bushings K201285 in my 2011 LT
Have probably got less than 1000 miles and I get very loud random clunks.
Roads here have no potholes and are very, very good.
Just wondering what it is?

Sometimes it’s the bolt isn’t torqued correctly, just rattling it with an air impact gun isn’t enough, 74 ft/lbs then an extra 180 degrees, and lots of anti seize on the shank and threads of the bolt.

Today, we’re going to our father’s graves , to lay wreaths for Father’s Day. Then, we’ll take a cruise down the Niagara River parkway from Niagara on the Lake to Fort Erie, stop for a coffee along the way.
I hope you’re all safe , those in the path of the storm along the gulf coast.

I'd have to dig them out to get a picture... but would anyone be interested in a grey carpet set of mats, front/rear?

Please post them in our market place. A photo isn’t required but helps with the sale.

After reading some of the horror stories here and seeing the lack of space to work in if the cage fails, You can bet I used sufficient anti seize and also adequately tightened the bolts.
I'll get it up on a lift first chance I get to check things out. The bushing should not have failed yet.
