This afternoon, I took the time for a good full wash and rinse, then microfibre towel dry. I used Chemical Guys Cherry car wash soap, it cut through the bugs on the windshield and front bumper with ease. No streaks or hard water marks on the paint or glass surfaces.
I cleaned the WeatherTech floor liners with Dawn and warm water solution and a stiff brush, then dryer them and sprayed them with 303 protectant. Ahh, a clean HHR is a beautiful thing!

I hadn't been on in a while. Just checking in. I was reading about the shots my wife and I both had Moderna and other then a little arm soreness for a day or two no problems. We both are in our mid 70's.

Ron, great to see you and your wife have had your vaccinations. How you been doing, still enjoying your HHR?

Today , I opened the driver’s door and heard a cracking noise, like plastic breaking, it was the door limiter. Thankfully my GM guy has one and I can pick it up tomorrow morning.
Today , it’s mind the kiddos day, what fun!

This morning Toughie crossed 177k.
No wash to celebrate as it is raining here.
Well, actually, more of a ground wetting, but I'll take it.

Surgery? Now cut that out!! You Ok? Hopefully everything went well and you’ll have a complete and speedy recovery!

Today that door tether plastic thing will be picked up. And possibly installed. I’ll have a look inside the driver’s door, and at the speaker , see if there’s any moisture problems, and give the door seams a squirt of rust inhibitor.

We are headed out this morning, to the outdoor market in St. Catharines, then to Virgil to pick up the part. I have not been able to go into that dealership since February 2020.

Not Much

Lemme see, not today but since I bought 'Betty' about a month ago:

Replaced Clutch (transmission)
Replaced clutch (A/C)
Replaced front shocks and struts
Replaced rear brakes
Replaced front brakes
Replaced a couple tires
Fluid Filmed the undercarriage, wheel wells, engine compartment and inside of doors
Cleaned, cleaned, cleaned unbelievable how filthy this was when I got it, cleaned, cleaned, cleaned a little more. Wife said she wouldn't even get in it, now she says there is hope.

Hope to get it on the ground and rolling by the weekend, then blast and rubber coat lower, inside of doors and give her a polish and buff (did I mention it was scary, grossly, pathetically dirty?!?!)

It's a project

Added a Garmin 47 dashcam to the girl this morning.
With things going the way they are I figured it was time to add some protection.

Today, we took a morning drive to tend Sweetie’s father’s grave, I cleaned the windshield and checked the oil, I noticed the ambient air temperature sensor is just under the grille almost touching the radiator, I remember my 2007 had the sensor under the bumper on the other side. Perhaps this is why my air temperature gauge is always incorrect.
