Pulpfiction, yes I believe the FE5 links should be the 9.8 inch ones, however the TC5530 links where listed in the 2010 SS page of the catalogue.

Today we head over to the hospital, Sweetie has an appointment for more tests! Then I’ll take her out for lunch , and at 4 the Terrain goes in for window tinting.

Rock auto, who fortunately provides more info than most suppliers, lists both lengths, whether you select 2.2, 2.4, or 2.0. Some listing give the length, some the FE option, some both, and they aren’t consistent.

Maybe the length depended on the various sway bar designs. Does anyone know for sure if every one of them is the exact same shape? I think if you know you’re replacing the original, just measure it, and if not, call a dealer with the VIN and get the p/n.

The SS FE5 23 mm swaybar seems to curl up at the outboard ends more then the FE1/FE3 25 mm swaybar

My FE3 bar

An SS FE5swaybar

So that might account for the shorter link fitting the SS and the longer link fits the FE1 and FE3

I took the short links off my 2011. They were worn a little and the boots ripped.
Only reason I used the long ones is that I had bought them months before unaware of the difference and it was late at nite, old ones cut off, stores closed, yada yada.
The old ones fit perfectly, the longer ones miss the LCA by approx1/8" each side and hang a hair below the LCA at the lowest spot. Not ideal, but don't hit.
I'll live with it since they were over 30 bucks apiece.

I just looked up on their website and they list both lengths no detail fitment
Moog K80252 for $63.99.....11-7/8" or 300mm
Moog K750012 for $46.99.....9-7/8" or 250.5mm
So with my luck it seems like I got the bozo at the counter.......

I didn't know there were 2 different lengths listed and either one is too expensive anyway, so I'm done with O'Reilly Auto Parts.
Could have gotten the short Moogs on Amazon for $20.85@ free shipping with prime.

Today after my 2 doctors appointments, when I arrived home, the FedEx driver was dropping off the Delphi TC5580 ball joints I ordered from RockAuto. They didn’t come with hardware, so I drove to the local hardware store and picked up 6 10.9 M10 x 1.50 x 30 mm bolts and 6 nuts , it’s raining so I might have to wait a day or 2 to get them installed.

The stub diameter on the ball joints are 19 mm
the three holes in the LCA’s and the ball joint flange are 10.9 mm
the bolts are 10 mm
So, there is a little room for the mounting bolts, I did get flange bolts and nuts.

Today, more rain!

at 10:30 the sky cleared enough for me to get out and change the ball joints, the 1 year old Moog greasable ones were loose and had a couple of rough sticking spots.
The new Delphi joints are of course brand new smooth and quiet! I just finished my 5 mile test drive! No more clunks.
I will revisit this in 3 to 6 months.
