Now that’s perplexing! How do you plan on rerouting the DIC wiring to the waterfall? It’s run through the clock spring.
maybe that nice leather wheel is still at David’s!

My thinking is that the clockspring has 2 connectors.
1 on the shaft side and 1 on the wheel side.
I'll know mor when I reomve the wheel,
OR, its off to the local auto salvage yard to investigate.
I know there is more to it than just one wire so I will do my best Sherlocking.
But first the rain must stop.

bought Heathen a Christmas present... some clear corner chrome headlamps popped up on ebay, gods know what knockoff brand they are, they aren't Depos... but for $100, what the hell...
and I'm pretty sure I have enough Vvivid tint left to at least smoke them and get closer to the look I actually want

Very nice! We’ll need photos when they arrive!

Today , we are to stay home, and everyone is timing out a porch visit with Sweetie! Very nice idea from all her friends and family.
as for the BlackSwan, I did do something, I started it up and parked it as far over to give more room in the driveway for visitors.

Well OldBlue, you were absolutely right - it was a LS with a sunroof for some weird reason - no idea why someone would option it that way. No remote start, no heated seats - basically the same car I have with 35k less miles but needs shocks/struts and probably a bunch of other stuff I've already sorted out in my current car. Just not worth it for the sunroof. At least I got a chance to put the rear splash guards on yesterday. My daughter is in town and I let her drive it despite her calling it a "Bootleg PT Cruiser." She likes the space and the way it handles but said it would struggle in the hills out on the west coast where she lives. She also cracked that with the booming subwoofer and touch screen radio and just the car in general which it admittedly more geared towards younger folks, it looks like I have a "mid-life crisis" car, lol.

Educated guess! One of our members here in my are has a 2007 LS with a sunroof, and another with remote start and a sunroof and the Pioneer sound system. I think the dealership might have ordered them with some things to attract buyers.
At least your daughter won’t ask to borrow your HHR! I’ve been in midlife crisis since December 2009 when I bought Oldblue! then the second wave in August 2019 when I brought home the BlackSwan!

As I stated before, I am in the process of installing a steering wheel from a '06 Cobalt in my '06 HHR.
It wasn't until after the purchase was made did I notice that the Cobalt wheel does not have controls for the DIC.
'06 Cobalts have the buttons in the dashboard.
I will be installing those controls somewhere in the waterfall panel.
My current issue is not being able to find out which wires are for the DIC in my HHR steering wheel.
Does anyone (Donbrew) have a wiring diagram for the steering wheel wires?
Going tomorrow to find and remove the DIC buttons from a Cobalt.
I'm trying to get everything together before I start the swap.
