Today, after an argument with myself, I won and left the paint alone, it’s not a show car !
So we went and picked up cabbage rolls at a local hall, the weddings and parties have died off with the Covid lock downs, so they started a charity event every month, so we get to enjoy the food we only got at a wedding or New Year’s Eve event, they go way past my bedtime anyways!
The BlackSwan was raring to go, I topped off the fuel at $1.78 a litre.

Radco- Yes it was a love hate deal back then.. I would & still don't have any interest in the V-4 Nova project engine (aside from a historical perspective) ..It's V-2 for me since I was a kid..
And the V-roid was not a real Harley imo.. But best honda HD ever made (No offense meant, I'm just too old school.)..

Since the Flatheads / Knucks/ Pans/ Shovels then the EVO, That was the engine that saved HD. & I still have my 1994 HD FatBoy. No longer 80", I punched it up to 96" It screams.

Had a 68 Sportster that would mist oil out of the breather tube, I managed to get the breather timing set to reduce it as much as possible, but it was just part of the design. Currently have an 89 FLHTC with 100 cu in kit, Edelbrock heads and cam, and a Mikuni flatslide. Puts 80hp to the rear wheel at 7500rpm. Quick for a Harley, but literally any 750cc or larger crotch rocket will eat it's lunch. Sounds good, though. Also have a 2008 FLHTCU that is stock, slow as hell but will get me there and back. The 89 is suffering from the crappy wiring of the era.

I like my Harleys, but I'm realistic about what they are, pretty much farm implements. Even HD's high tech is low tech.

There much be a wiring company that offers a replacement harness, like Ron Francis or Painless

This morning a spritz of Dawn and water to rinse of the rodent poop in the strut tower areas under the hood.
I checked the fuse box bolts , they took almost a 1/4 turn and no relays or fuses were loose.
That little tiny oil drip is back , so yup, It’s time to reseal the oil pan. One step at a time! The front cover and valve cover gasket’s are only 18 months old.

Well, mine are not farm implements...............Yer 89 Bagger is heavy, so sure it will get smoked by a lightweight 750.. Even with the Thunderheader & flatslide, etc.. Am into Corbin seats tho..

& your 08 Twinkee is a hot box, the stock heads flow less than a 80" Evo..

my 1994 FLSTF.. Light & lean
