I definitely recommend these to younger or actually any folks who want to buy a cheap car and learn how to maintain or work on cars.

Front brakes tomorrow if it's warm enough - I want to paint the calipers at the same time so it needs to be a little warm or I'll have to use the heat gun to warm them up and dry them.
Yeah it is pretty easy...and resetting the oil life is super easy as well using the buttons on the steering wheel..

Reset the Oil Life monitor (OLM), I just turn to on key (don't start it) & fully mash the gas pedal 3 X, turn off remove key & check. & that is it, in spite of the complicated dealio the book says..

Today a windy gusty day, 57 F , so opened the windows for the fresh air, washed the BlackSwan, dusted and spray detailing the Blue Steel, almost lunch time!

Finally got around to doing the front pads and rotors. Again, very easy job, like everything else with this car. Didn't do the upgrade - just didn't think it was worth it given how I drive the car. I'll get around to the rear when it's warmer and less windy.

43 * f so far today :) So I'll take it ... Rain today so that got some road salt off the body , Will hit the car wash next week to do the undercarriage and body again !
Will redo the headlights in a couple weeks to see if they get better. Still look ok form the first cleaning ! But want to see if second try makes them better

Soon the HHR will be off to get KROWN sprayed, Never had it done before on the HHR but figure it can not hurt !
Truck is due this month for a respray ! And man does that stuff drip lol. Glad I have a dirt driveway !

Swapped the 6mr500's for the silver flutes.

installed the ne25vts-04 tweeters

Got new mounting hardware for everything. $5 at ace.

time aligned everything pretty good. Sounding great so far.

Brass screws look good i think. Cheap too. Pre-drilled so they dont split.

Counter sunk the mounting holes on the silver flutes.

First mock up for tweeters. Tbey sound good here.

Facebook isn’t all bad. Every one in awhile you find something interesting. (Not mine.)

Yesterday my son (18) and I participated in a charity fund raiser by the lions club.

It was the annual Olcott beach Polar Bear swim in Lake Ontario.

The water was at 36 degrees. The air temperature was in the 50's, but there was a LOT of wind (up to 65mph gusts).

The high winds dried us off within a few minutes of getting out of the water.

Sometimes it's fun to do something uncomfortable just so you know you can.

Steve
