Thought about reusing that gasket but decided it would be too hard to get to if it leaked. Did reuse the valve cover gasket thinking it would be trivial to replace it if needed.

I used the FelPro gasket. I wish I would’ve taken pictures. I don’t remember it looking like that. Also it came with a crank seal, which I used and now mildly regret having done so because of what I’ve heard about problems with it. But so far so good.

I installed the FelPro front cover gasket and installed EBay timing chain seal in February 2020, replaced the seal with GM seal and replaced timing chain with Cloyes set in January 2021.

The drip was more annoying then anything, I can’t stand oil leaks , so I’m going to clean the driveway in a few days .
As for the FelPro gasket, they can’t be all bad, I did reuse it , so it is plausible that new it seals great.

Today we rolled out for a drive , 15 minutes out we heard a grinding noise in the left front while braking and turning , we came back home and I swapped out the bearing hub, noise is gone, tomorrow I’ll switch out the other side, they like to fail in pairs.
The old hubs were installed 08/15/2020, 40,000 miles ago.
They were PowerStop hubs from RockAuto.

About a year ago bought the upper charge pipe from genuinesaab and the other day got around to installing it. Trying to align the bottom of the charge pipe with reusing the rubber coupler that joins with the intercooler is a PITA. Didn't tighten it enough earlier today and that area blew out while doing a pull on the freeway. Also maybe it's in my head but noticed the coolant temps slightly higher ever since installing the charge pipe

Today, nothing! It’s in the garage resting comfortable.
I have to fabricate a mesh screen to keep the squirrels out of my air cleaner box, it is full of seeds and nuts!
I also have some chewed wires to replace

Just leave a mouse glue trap on top of your right front tire. Squirrels learn fast.

They may learn fast but forget everything the next day...
