This morning, got up real early 5:00 am to drive Sweetie to her procedure appointment at the hospital, got her there in style and on time, then after that we went for breakfast and then drove home, she took a nap and I washed the BlackSwan, cleaned the weathertech mats and husky liner cargo tray, then rotated tires on the Terrain.

This day, our 16th wedding anniversary, we decided to celebrate by getting a home upgrade instead of a trip somewhere, put the money into a project we’ve been pondering for a few years , so we entertained estimates for remodeling our bathroom upstairs, and we are finally getting flooring in the unfinished basement!
The BlackSwan lugged 14 cartons of vinyl plank flooring home from a big box store, a Hugh savings for a Black Friday sale.

Fall Kayaking

Fuel line all fixed so now I can haul my kayak for some beautiful fall kayaking in Michigan.

Someone mentioned he's never seen these crossbars on a HHR. Straight from the 'Zon - CargoLoc - $45 - and they've worked out great.

Yesterday a drive out along the north shore of Lake Erie, parked got out to go for a walk and noticed my key fob was cracked and damaged so, I ordered a new case and key pad from Amazon and today the truck just pulled into the driveway, I opened the package, new fob case and rubber pad already! I replaced the damaged case and tested the new pad, everything works and now we are headed out to south western Ontario.

Did you happen to notice if it was “sold & shipped” by Amazon, or just shipped by Amazon, or sold and shipped by a 3rd party? I think Amazon is pretty interesting in that regard; the number of third-party sellers using Amazon to warehouse and ship their goods, and others that use them just to market the product and collect the money.

Sold and shipped by Amazon.

Today, schools are closed due to a union dispute, so we are off to Thorold to watch the youngsters!

This weekend I installed new speakers, installed and hardwired a new dash cam, adjusted the rear shoes and parking brake (installed shoes last weekend). Installed an oil catch can and lastly replaced about 5 quarts of tranny fluid. Thought about changing the oil too, but have about 800 miles before it is officially due (I change at 5k). That 800 miles will probably make it a couple weeks.

Somehow the chain came off of the waterpump yesterday.
Pulled the cover plate off and can spin the pump with my fingers.
I replaced both chains 20,000 miles ago.
The car drove fine in the morning and after sitting for 2 hours decided it would get hot.
Haven't removed the timing chain cover so don't know yet what happened.
