Gave it a wash and detailing, vacuum and interior windows cleaned. Then watched as Sweetie rolled down the driveway and off for shopping and lunch with her friends.

How about what I did over the past week?
Last Thursday I replaced 4 dry rotted tires and the battery that started crapping out the night before.
Then Sunday I replaced the front struts, mounts, bearings, bumpers, and upper spring seats.
Tomorrow (Thursday) it gets an alignment.

Driving Mom Around

So my elderly mom is moving back near the family and has limited mobility. I have a “luxurious” SUV but guess which car is the easiest for mom to get in and out of? Yup, the Double H-R has been getting a working running mom around town on errands, while the SUV has basically sat in the garage for the past few weeks. We tried the SUV one more time this past week but she just can’t climb in it without straining herself. I also have running boards on my HHR, which I thought were for show but they actually help her step up just enough to slide in without any issues. If it had a grab handle on the A pillar or on the roof, it would be nearly perfect. Her walker slides nicely in the rear door with seats folded. It’s been a joy carting mom around for ice cream and other unnecessary trips just to spend time together.

Washed and dried it, then went for lunch in Dunville , then drove along the lake and back home.
