Gave mine a weekly bath I detail for a living. Then ordered some new lift gate lift supports since mine don’t open.

Met with the body and paint guy that did my Suburban, to look at the rust along the bottom of the doors. Three of the four doors have rust.


He said he could do the job, but said he'd take the doors off to be able to do it properly. I was surprised to hear that, but it makes sense. He's going to do it in January.

Those bottom door seams have always been trouble, but my 2008 was a lot worse than my 2011. I suspect they changed something.

No salt on the road (yet,) so I took the SS out to stretch her legs. Ya never know, might be March before that happens again. I hope not.

Replaced the rear interior door handles. Bought the same sturdy heavy duty ones that I used on the front couple of years ago. These new metal handles are far thicker and heavier that the old cheap plastic OEM handles.
